County groomer reported he had packed twice, so I thought it would be perfect for skate skiing. But last week inch of fresh snow and the melt down left catchy crust for skate skiing. Classic skiers made their own tracks in the one inch of snow over the packed base.
No bare spots, just fast snow! Pretty daunting on the downhill behind the outhouse. I did not go up, not wanting to come down!

New county groomer packed but did not set track on the main loop. Not sure if the upper loops or the new trail has been touched at all.
Enjoy the fresh snow, make your own tracks and send in a report!

The county has some logging going on at the backside of Alder Pond. We are putting up signs that let you know not to go any further on the trail. We are hoping to have it done quickly to be completely open soon. Thank you for you understanding. The red dot indicates where logging is taking place and sign is located.
